Couf horns are still considered Pro horns today. The Superba 1 is much more sought after than the Superba 2. The S1 has Rolled Tone Holes which gave it a much more lusher sound than the S2. This is one of my favorite horns. Herbert Couf, President of W.T. Armstrong group during the 1970s and 1980s had the Couf Superbas.

Your Couf Superba 1 is definitely a good pro horn, the precursor to the Keilwerth SX90R and SX90 model. Examples in the excellent original condition yours is in regularly market for between $2,000 up to $2,400 on a great time PROVIDED it desires nothing in the method of topper etc. to be 100% fully playable as is usually, and provides rolled overall tone openings. It will be impossible to tell about the firmness holes with the photos supplied.
This stencil horn made for Conn/Armstrong by Keilwerth dates to c. 1976. Keilwerth'h charts indicate decades instead than yr by 12 months manufacture times vs. serial numbers during this era, therefore we must estimated the exact season.

The best and most precise Keilwerth serialnumber graph would place creation in 1974 regarding to this internet web page. http://saxwelt.de/index.php/ratgeber/seriennummern/keilwerthser
But it't in German, the translation states that the graph comes straight from the maker, and can be therefor 'richitg' a misspelling of 'richtig' which merely indicates it's deemed precise. But you don't need to end up being capable to study German born in order to number out this graph. The just wonky component of the listing is certainly around 1944 - 45 expected to WWII when manufacturing was stopped and then resumed in 1946. They started serial amounts at 20,000 at that period. Evidently they dropped track of the last serial number created when issues were stopped.
